In its 37 year history, the band AC/DC has featured over 26 members, and only two are original group members.

Brothers Angus and Malcolm Young of Australia founded the group in 1973, and remain active members to this day! The inspiration for the band’s name, however, can be partially accredited to their older sister Margaret. She saw the initials “AC/DC” (which stands for “alternating current/direct current”) on a sewing machine. The brothers felt that this name was symbolic of their…

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is no longer the world’s furthest leaning tower!

That distinction now goes to the Capital Gate Building in Abu Dhabi. The Capital Gate slants at an angle of 18 degrees, nearly 5 times larger than that of the famed Pisa structure! However, unlike the Italian tower, the Capital Gate building was BUILT in order to lean. Despite losing its record, rest assured that the Leaning Tower of Pisa is no less remarkable a building.

Staring at women’s breasts can lengthen a man’s life expectancy.

Staring a woman’s “assets” is known amongst all men as causing good sensations, but a recent study claims that it actually improves your overall health.

The author of the study, Dr. Karen Weatherby, claims that “just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well-endowed female, is roughly equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out!” Sexual excitement gets the blood pumping and improves overall circulation. She also…

Only two Coca-Cola executives know the beverage’s secret formula.

One rumor has it that these executives each know only half of the secret formula, so they can only release the formula together. This idea is kind of similar to the “Two-man rule” used to prevent accidental nuclear strikes from submarines.

That rumor isn’t true, but it is true that only two executives know the “real formula”. The reason for this rule probably has less to do with keeping the recipe away from…

President Bill Clinton lost his nuclear launch codes for several months while in office!

This is according to then-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Hugh Shelton.

“the codes were actually missing for months. […] That’s a big deal — a gargantuan deal.”

Shelton says that this occurred in 2000. However, Ret. Air Force Lt. Col Robert Patterson has a different story. According to him, the president misplaced the codes in the White House the day after the Monica Lewinsky…

In Ancient Rome, whitening one’s teeth was often accomplished using urine.

Ammonia, which is found in urine, is also a cleaning agent that can kill bacteria. The ancient Egyptians would whiten their teeth with a mixture of pulverized pumice and wine vinegar.

Strangely enough, centuries later, teeth whitening methods got worse! In the 1800s they used to whiten teeth by filing them down and then washing them in nitric acid. This also destroyed the protective enamel of the teeth (not a…

Prostitutes in Spain have to wear reflective vests (like highway workers) to reduce traffic accidents.

Police claim the prostitutes are violating traffic laws and are posing a danger to drivers. If they are caught walking on the highway or on the shoulder without a fluorescent vest on, they will have to pay a 40 euro fine.

An estimated 300,000 women work as prostitutes in Spain, where it is legal (pimping is illegal though). Also, 1 in 4 Spanish men have admitted to paying for sex….
