If you are an extremely passionate or bored SpongeBob fan, you would have paused your television during that one episode when SpongeBob received his driver’s license.

If you did, you would notice that his birthday is July 14th 1986, making the character 13 years old at the time of the series pilot on July 17th 1999. Since then Spongebob has accomplished more than most “land critters.” 

Much to Squidward’s discontent, his trademark “I’m ready” can now be heard in 7 different languages, including Japanese, Hebrew, and Italian. 

Although he’s never managed to permanently get himself that driver’s license, in his 25 years, our favorite jelly-fisher has become extremely popular with both children and adults and managed to grab a spot on Ask Men’s Top 10: Irritating ‘90’s Cartoon Characters.
