Theodore Roosevelt was shot and then went on to give a 90 minute speech covered in blood with a bullet lodged in him.

The bullet was slowed down by the 50-page speech, which was folded in Roosevelt’s jacket pocket. Unfazed, he gave the speech anyway telling reporters “It takes more than one bullet to bring down a Bull Moose”. Roosevelt later went to the hospital after the speech was over, but chose not to have the bullet removed.
